Independence Day is a big day of celebration in the U.S. Patriotic songs, flags and national pride are on full display. These are symbols of freedom and democracy for some, but for some others, they represent something very different. Today, Kenny encourages us to take a look at the full narrative of who we are as a nation and to acknowledge that much of the abundance we enjoy today was acquired on the backs of people of Black people and at the expense of the Indigenous people.
