And one involves a ghost in the shower, which I will just say upfront is exactly as unsettling as it sounds.The first caller takes us to Alaska with a haunting that is shaped by the landscape itself. Alaska has one of the most distinctive and least documented paranormal geographies in the United States, a vast and ancient wilderness where Indigenous spiritual traditions going back thousands of years coexist with the specific isolation and darkness of a place where winter lasts most of the year, and the land has a presence that visitors describe immediately and consistently. Whatever happened to our caller in Alaska happened in that context, and that context matters.Then a skeptic calls in. Every ghost story community has a soft spot for the skeptic conversion story because it is the one that carries the most implicit credibility. A person who does not believe in the paranormal, who has logical explanations ready for every unexplained thing they encounter, who has spent years dismissing the experiences of people around them, and who then encounters something that dismantles every explanation they have ever used.
