The route to their room took her past the bay windows, and that is where everything changed. Outside the glass, in the dark, were translucent figures of men. Not shadows. Not shapes. Translucent men with enough visible form that Brittany could see them clearly and could see what they were doing. They were tapping on the glass. Deliberately. Insistently. As if they knew she was there and wanted her to acknowledge it.One of the figures was slightly behind the others. He was pushing a bicycle.
