When we realise this truth, we come to understand that life is truly about love. Our purpose is to know and love God, and in doing so, we can reflect his love to those around us. The Ultimate Expression of Love If we want to truly know what love is, then first, we must learn to know and love God. He is the source of our love. God's love for us is so immense that he sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for us and restore our relationship with him. Jesus perfectly exemplifies what it means to love God and love others. Every action he took in life and in death was an expression of perfect love. The Power to Love As believers, we are not left to love in our own strength. It is God who gives us the power to love. He resides in our hearts through the Holy Spirit, transforming us to become more and more like his Son, Jesus. It is through this transformation that we are empowered to love as he loves.
