True Wisdom
from Carter Conlon | Daily Devotionals · host Carter Conlon
True wisdom is found in the ability to discern the motives of our own hearts. Solomon, in Proverbs 2, warned others about the seductive influences of the world, particularly cautioning against immoral relationships that lead to destruction. Yet in 1 Kings 11, we see that Solomon himself fell into the very trap he advised others to avoid, being with many women despite God’s command against it. He possessed wisdom meant for others but failed to apply it to his own life, exemplified by his decision to have 700 wives. Reflect today on your own life, and ask God for the wisdom to not only guide others but also to discern your own heart’s motives. Join us every Wednesday night at 7 p.m. Eastern Time at itstimetopray.org. We’re praying with people from all over the world: “God, give us an end-time spiritual awakening.” It’s time to pray.
