Trump Allies Party at British Embassy, Scottish FM Parks Limo in Bus Stop, Mountain City Overrun by Crime, SWAT Arrests Shirtless Roommate & Police Sergeant Caught Naked Near Playground

TV stars and Trump allies descend on the British Embassy in Washington for a lavish pre-dinner party hosted by the Daily Mail — billed as the most exclusive event of the White House Correspondents' weekend. Scotland's First Minister John Swinney arrives at an SNP campaign event in his taxpayer-funded ministerial limo — and his driver parks it directly in a city bus stop. A once picture-perfect mountain city is being abandoned by tourists as locals report a surge in crime, growing homeless encampments, and a police department too depleted to keep up. In a quiet Florida neighbourhood, a SWAT team arrests 26-year-old Hisham Abugharbieh — shirtless, in a towel — in connection with the disappearance of two doctoral students. And a former police sergeant is arrested after dog walkers spot him naked near a children's play area — his explanation is that he was just wringing sweat from his clothes after a jog. Five stories. All real. All strange. The Daily Strange — where truth is always weirder than fiction.
