Offenbar hat die Ankündigung von Gegenzöllen seitens der EU geholfen - und ebenso, dass ein militärischer Angriff auf Europa auch im Maga-Lager wenig Fans hat. In Deutschland, das immer der transatlantische Musterschüler war, halten viele Trump noch immer für einen Irrtum der Geschichte, der bald korrigiert wird. Aber das ist eine Illusion. Das Sicherheitsversprechen der Nato ist nach dieser Eskalation nicht mehr viel wert. Aber wie wird Europa strategisch unabhängig von den USA?
