It wasn't even close: current Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton beat incumbent Senator John Cornyn by 28 points in the Republican primary election run-off. Now, the stage is set for the general election in November. And Democrats are hopeful that all the controversies and scandals with Paxton will help their candidate, James Talarico, win the seat.
