Arizona Immigration Bill Veto: Arizona Governor Kitty Hobbs vetoed a bill that would require local and state law enforcement to cooperate with federal immigration officials (ICE). The bill aimed to prevent local jurisdictions from passing ordinances that block cooperation with federal immigration authorities. Harvard is required to provide information on misconduct involving foreign students by April 30th or face the loss of its ability to enroll them. Anti-Semitism and University Policies: The Trump administration has taken a strong stance against anti-Semitism on college campuses, particularly targeting Harvard University. Harvard has struggled with anti-Israel encampments and anti-Semitic protests since the October 7th attack by Hamas. The administration demands detailed records on Harvard's foreign student visa holders' illegal and violent activities. Democratic Judge and Gang Member: A Democratic judge in New Mexico resigned after immigration agents arrested an alleged gang member living in his home. The gang member, a Venezuelan national, entered the US illegally and was released due to overcrowding. The judge allowed the gang member to use his residential address for immigration relief requests. The gang member was found in possession of multiple firearms and graphic images of mutilated bodies.
