The United States and Saudi Arabia have signed a landmark nuclear cooperation agreement on Wednesday, opening the door for the Gulf kingdom to develop a civilian nuclear program. The deal provides a legal framework for long-term co-operation on nuclear technology and safety. The agreement could allow U.S. companies to play a major role in building Saudi Arabia’s nuclear infrastructure, including a potential uranium enrichment facility. The agreement will now be sent to Congress for review.U.S. Central Command says U.S. forces carried out another round of strikes against Iran for the twelfth consecutive night. The command says Iran does not control the strategic waterway and that it remains open to commercial shipping despite threats and attacks by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
