Trump Indictment Explained. What Charges He Faces & Who Are The Alleged Co-Conspirators?

from Equal Matters · host Rob Hunter

Former President Donald Trump has been charged with four new counts in relation to the election. Today, on Equal Matters, we'll explain the government's case. We'll save the opinions for another day. The case comes down to two alleged conspiracies. The first is the appointment of 'alternate' or 'fake' Electors to cast votes for Trump in states that Biden won (7 states named in this indictment). The second is within the Department of Justice. Trump and Co-conspirator #4 are alleged to have pushed the DOJ to say the election was fraudulent. The third and fourth charges are related to obstructing and conspiring to obstruct the official Electoral College vote count in Congress. Join Equal Matters for a quick overview of the four charges levied against the 45th President.
