Trump Meets Irish President on Peace and History | Belfast News

Donald Trump made a surprise stop in Ireland for a 20-minute tête-à-tête with President Catherine Connolly at Áras an Uachtaráin, where they discussed peace, history, and shared ties — from Ireland’s UN peacekeeping legacy to the enduring bond between Irish emigrants and America. Connolly underscored Ireland’s firm opposition to war and genocide, while also honoring the 9/11 anniversary and the upcoming 250th anniversary of American independence. The meeting closed with a thoughtful gift: a St. Brigid’s Cross, Saint Brendan’s voyage book, and poems by Michael Longley — including “Ceasefire.” Listen in comfort:Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
