Trump official blows off global oil issue

 Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Iran's attempts to exert control over the Strait of Hormuz pose a global concern but are not a critical issue for the United States, emphasizing that American energy dependence on the key waterway is limited. The Strait of Hormuz, a narrow passage through which roughly 20% of the world's oil supply flows, has become a focal point of concern after Iran reportedly attacked cargo ships and imposed tolls following U.S. and Israeli strikes.
