Trump Returns to Golf as Presidents Cup Honorary Chairman | US News

Trump’s back in the golf spotlight—this time as honorary chairman of the 2026 Presidents Cup at Medinah Country Club, just outside Chicago. He accepted the role after being asked by PGA Tour commissioner Brian Rolapp, and plans to be front and center for the showdown between U.S. and International teams. It’s his second rodeo with the event—he held the same title during his presidency in 2017. The U.S., led by Brandt Snedeker, is the reigning champ after their 2024 victory in Canada and comes into this one hot, while Australia’s Geoff Ogilvy heads up the International squad. With Medinah’s history hosting Ryder Cups and PGA Championships, and Trump calling both teams “loaded with talent,” expect fireworks—and maybe a few surprises.
