Trump Signals He Knows Criminal Convictions are Coming

Donald Trump is as transparent as child when it comes to what he tries to accomplish with his lies, his disinformation, and his propaganda. For example, when he posts lies like, "the prosecutors are not coming after me, they're coming after you," it's a rallying cry designed to dupe his followers into feeling like they have a personal stake in the Trump prosecutions. Of course, the reality is that it is Trump, not his supporters, who is facing 91 felony charges in four cases, both state and federal. In his recent post, Trump tipped his hand, making it clear that even he knows that he will be convicted at trial. Glenn explains how Trump is now softening the ground in hopes he can dupe his followers into believing that the coming convictions will not be legitimate.Then, Glenn discusses Trump's criminal defense attorneys who seem to again be taking on the tone and tenor of their client in legal filings. Their latest motion is no exception. Trump's lawyers have asked Judge Tanya Chutkan to hold Jack Smith and his prosecutors in contempt for giving the defense discovery (evidence) and filing a motion while the case is on appeal. But they don't stop there. Their motion goes on to state that the prosecutors "unlawful goal . . . is the (a) desperate attempt to harass President Trump and prevent his likely victory in the 2024 Presidential election."
