Trump’s Ireland Comments Spark Debate | Belfast News

Trump drops unexpected bombshell in Dublin, saying he’d “love to see” a united Ireland and believes it’s “going to happen eventually,” sparking immediate political buzz across the Irish Sea. While downplaying intent to stir trouble, he called unification a “great feather in everybody’s cap,” adding he has friends on both sides and it would be “a great thing.” His comments—coming amid broader global talks—echo past remarks that were dismissed as jokes, now raising fresh questions about his stance and its impact on Northern Ireland’s delicate politics.
