Trump’s Second Assassination Attempt

Former president Donald Trump survived another assassination attempt on Sunday at his golf club in Florida, with the suspect now in custody and Trump reassuring supporters of his safety. The Iran-backed Houthis successfully launched a missile into central Israel, prompting an Israeli military response that prevented casualties, with Prime Minister Netanyahu promising retaliation. Venezuela has detained three EU nationals and three U.S. citizens for allegedly plotting to assassinate President Nicolas Maduro, with the U.S. State Department denying involvement and advocating for democratic solutions. Ohio Senator JD Vance defended his false claim that Haitian migrants were eating pets in Springfield and suggested starting large-scale deportations from smaller cities. In central Europe, extreme flooding from torrential rains has resulted in eight deaths, widespread power outages, and the evacuation of 10,000 people in the Czech Republic.
