Swiss President Karin Keller-Sutter arrived in the U.S. to request a reduction in the 39% tariffs imposed on Swiss exports, prompted by Switzerland’s $54 billion trade surplus and affecting key industries like pharmaceuticals (which makes up 60% of exports), as well as watches, and chocolate3. OpenAI began discussions for a secondary stock sale for employees, potentially valuing the company at $500 billion, following a $40 billion fundraising round led by SoftBank in March that valued it at $300 billion, amid fierce competition for AI talent from companies like Meta.  4. Wall Street saw mixed stock performance, with Meta Platforms rising 11.9% and Microsoft gaining 4.1%, while President Trump’s tariff threats, rising inflation from June CPI data, and profit warnings from Ford and Hershey’s created uncertainty.Let’s pray…Heavenly Father,  We come before You, seeking Your wisdom and guidance for the challenges facing our modern world. Grant discernment to those in Switzerland and India as they navigate economic pressures, and may their discussions lead to solutions that preserve jobs and industries.  We pray for the innovators and workers at companies like OpenAI, that their efforts in technology may be used for the greater good, fostering creativity and opportunity while resisting division and technocracy. Guide the financial markets, Lord, and those impacted by uncertainty, that decisions may reflect justice and care for all.  Above all, fill the hearts of leaders, workers, and communities with Your peace, that they may seek unity and understanding in these complex times.
