Trust and Discipline

Proverbs 3:5 calls us to trust in the Lord with all our heart and lean not on our own understanding. Proverbs 5:23 warns that a lack of discipline can lead us astray. Together, these verses remind us that trust in God and disciplined living go hand in hand.It is possible to say we trust God, yet still rely on our own interpretation of His will. When we do this, we end up confused and wandering. The remedy is daily submission—bringing every plan, decision, and desire before Him. As we trust and practice the discipline of surrender, God promises to make our paths straight.Reflection: Today, choose trust over self-reliance and discipline over distraction.
