In Part 29 of our series Good News: The Life of Christ in the Gospel of Mark, Pastor Caleb looks at Jesus' provocative encounter with a man often referred to as the "rich young ruler." When we consider what we have in common with this man, the passage becomes both tragedy and warning: Those who are unwilling to be empty-handed will walk away from Jesus empty-hearted. Thankfully, Jesus sees and loves us and offers another way, one costly but eternally rewarding. Mark 10:17-31 (NRSV) "For he had great possessions," George Frederic Watts (1894) For more information about our church and ways to connect with us, visit thegardensa.org.
