(NIV) Proverbs 23:4 - Do not wear yourself out to get rich; do not trust your own cleverness. (NIV) Proverbs 28:26 - Those who trust in themselves are fools, but those who walk in wisdom are kept safe. (NIV) Three Rewards for Trusting in God: 1. A Long, Prosperous Life Proverbs 3:1-2 - My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart,
2 for they will prolong your life many years and bring you peace and prosperity. (NIV) Proverbs 3:16 - Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. (NIV) Proverbs 3:7-8 - Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil.
8 This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones. (NIV) Proverbs 28:25 The greedy stir up conflict, but those who trust in the Lord will prosper. (NIV) 2. Favor with God and Man Proverbs 3:4 - Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. (NIV) Proverbs 16:20 - Whoever gives heed to instruction prospers, and blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord. (NIV) 3. Peace Proverbs 3:17 - Her ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peace. (NIV) 1 Peter 5:7 - Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. (NIV) Psalm 55:22 - Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken. (NIV) Matthew 11:28-30 - Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
