Trust the Delay

Every man knows what it feels like to wait—for a breakthrough, a job opportunity, a restored relationship, financial stability, healing, or an answer to prayer. When the waiting drags on, it's easy to assume God has forgotten you or that His answer is "no." François Coillard's story reminds us that God's delays are not wasted seasons. While he waited through rejection and uncertainty, he didn't abandon his calling. He kept serving God faithfully, trusting that obedience mattered more than immediate results. In time, God worked in ways Coillard could never have orchestrated himself. If you're carrying the weight of disappointment today, don't let it pull you away from the purpose God has given you. Keep leading your family with integrity, keep working faithfully, keep praying, and keep trusting—even when you can't see what God is doing behind the scenes. The waiting may be shaping your character just as much as it's preparing your future. A man's faith isn't measured only by how he responds to success, but by how faithfully he follows God when the answer hasn't come yet. Stay faithful. God's timing is always worth the wait.
