Trusting your own Mama Wisdom over the NHS!

from The Natural Birth Podcast · host Sacred Birth International

Today on The Natural Birth Podcast we have Emily. Emily is a mama of two from Scotland. She moved back to the highlands of Scotland, where she grew up, when she was pregnant to have her first born Betty.  Just as she was considering what line of work to go into after being a full time mum she was blessed with another baby and continued to stay at home to raise Jim who, at the time of our recording, is 3 months old. With both her babies Emily hasn’t been deemed ”low risk” by her care providers but went ahead and had two home births despite of what the NHS told her. Her first born Betty was born at home 3.5 years ago after a battle with the NHS who were putting pressure on her to have a hospital birth due to her baby seemingly measuring big. And her second, Jim was born at home after lying transverse for all of his 3rd trimester. Emily was advised that she’d have to go to the hospital if he didn’t move head down before birth.  In the end he moved and was born within 3 hours of Emily waking with contractions. Always listen to your mama wisdom and intuition. You are the expert of your baby, body and birth, always. Find All of Anna’s Links & Resources here: www.sacredbirthinternational.com/links-podcast
