In terms of both dexterity and tonal coloring of the music, he is one of funk’s most underrated keyboard players. In what may be the most comprehensive accounting ever of the band, Beck covers the gamut of Ohio Players creativity, output, triumphs, personalities and hardships. He also discusses his approach to keyboards and arrangements, including his kinship with Parliament-Funkadelic's Bernie Worrell.
