She can also be heard on several James songs as well as those by protege acts such as the Mary Jane Girls, including "In My House." For the past three decades, Young has kept very backing artists such as Bobby Womack, Teena Marie, Dr. Dre, Evelyn “Champagne” King, Snoop Dogg, Gerald Levert, 2Pac, El Debarge, Charlie Wilson, Teddy Riley and many others.
