1. Gathering the Ingredients—The Individual Parts of Our Lives Eggs (Hard situations) Flour (Dry seasons) Sugar (Sweet blessings) Butter (Things that seem messy) 2. Mixing the Ingredients—The Uncomfortable Process Stirring and blending is uncomfortable, but necessary for transformation. God allows trials to mix us, shape us, and prepare us for what’s next. 3. Baking—The Heat of Refinement Heat is needed to turn the batter into a cake. In life, we go through fires of testing and waiting, but God is refining us. 7 These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. 1 Peter 1:7 NIV 4. The Final Product—Restoration and Fulfillment Once the process is complete, the cake is ready. God restores what was broken.
