Truth That Transforms: "What Happens When I Am Baptized?" Preacher: DJ Dickerson 8/9/2026 In the second lesson of Part II, Responding to Truth, we examine the spiritual blessings God gives at baptism. Scripture shows that we are united with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus, our sins are forgiven and washed away, we enter Christ and put on Christ, we become children of God and members of Christ’s church, and we begin a new life under His lordship. Using Noah and the ark as a powerful picture of being safely “in Christ,” this lesson emphasizes that baptism is not a work by which we earn salvation, but an obedient response of faith in the saving work of God.
