Dr. Hudson, a cherished figure at UofL, began his journey as a student leader of the Black Student Union in the late 1960s, where he played a pivotal role in advocating for the creation of a black studies program. His dedication to education and social justice saw him rise from staff member to history instructor, eventually becoming a tenured professor in the Pan African Studies department. Dr. Hudson’s remarkable career culminated in his tenure as Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences from 2005 to 2012. Special thanks to the J.
