It’s also a great mindset shift from consistently looking for the next lead; to making the next lead come to you. One of the things that is really popular on Instagram is “DM Outreach” where you message people on IG trying to sell your services. Now, this lead gen option is getting more and more saturated, and there is a much better way to go about it than just messaging anybody trying to sell yourself to them. To take it up a notch you can do a few simple things like first building a relationship with the prospective client before pitching your service to them. But honestly, if you are below 10-15 clients you probably don’t have the authority to where a random stranger would even listen to your pitch. What you need to do is you need to make your clients come to YOU. The best way to do this is to make your viewers participate in your content. Far too many people just post content on their page treating it like a Journal thinking they will get clients from that. And the truth is, that doesn’t cut it anymore. You need to be making informative, engaging content that makes your viewers want to comment on your post. AND THEN, this is THE MOST IMPORTANT part. YOU NEED TO RESPOND TO THEM. The viewer won’t feel heard or engage with you personally if it’s a one-way conversation. Post your content, respond to EVERY person who comments and start conversations. This way you will build relationships with your viewers and they will be more likely to say yes to a sales call and even MORE likely to say yes to you coaching them. Because you have earned their trust. TRUST is the new authoritative credibility online.
