Tryin' To Get The Feeling Again - 2017 Full Remix & Remaster

My take on this classic that was a true surprise when "refound" at the time.....I took a little liberty with some of the lyrics, and will be remixing this over time. Carpenters recorded this and never released it, during their "Horizon" recording sessions, I believe. Richard found it years later and released it on "Interpretations" and it's a great arrangement of the song. Barry Manilow had written it and released it, having a hit with it but with some different lyrics. I did change a few lyrics myself for this version. Carpenters version definitely had a slightly brisker tempo and much harder arrangement as is evidenced here, as this is fully the Carpenter arrangement. The verses are right at the top of my controllable pitch, and this was a very difficult tune to record. It is admittedly a difficult song to sing, and still undergoing a few mix changes.
