TSS 030: Christian Democrat Tabitha Isner

Tabitha Isner has a Master of Public Policy and Master of Divinity from the University of Chicago. She is an ordained minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), and married to Shane Isner, the senior pastor at First Christian Church in Montgomery. Together, they were foster parents & are now adoptive parents to a fifth grader, Tymari. Most of her career has been spent conducting research and policy work in the field of early childhood education. In 2018, Isner was the Democratic Nominee for the US House of Representatives from Alabama's 2nd Congressional District. She is currently serving as the Interim Executive Director at Christian Services for Children in Alabama, a non-profit that provides therapeutic foster homes to children who have experienced abuse or neglect and provides services to biological parents in hopes of preserving and reunifying families. She is passionate about progressive policy and is deeply committed to the radical love of neighbor. She is currently running to be the next Chair of the Alabama Democratic Party.
