Derek Burns is an accomplished songwriter who lives as a farmer, surfer and traveler in Kitsap County. His latest record 'Sonic Observations' is a journey into a solitary realm filled w warm melodies provocative lush lyrics and solid instrumental accompaniment by friends from the Bainbridge Island music scene. At some point during this interview his friend and drummer Chad Channing steps in and tells about Derek's music and what island living is all about. This interview was recorded at Hollow Earth Studios in Seattle and edited in a small farmhouse in Western Pennsylvania. Its a real good time. We hope you enjoy.
