TTP #169 - Rambo Brite
from Throwdown Thursday
Just in time for the 5th installment of the franchise, Pasty and Ashes are here to talk about John J. Rambo! They discuss how the character went from a proxy for the treatment of Vietnam Veterans and cast a spotlight on the suffering they underwent after returning from the war to the almost cartoonish superhuman murder machine he turned into as quickly as the second film. They also discuss the political climates that influenced each film, their anniversary adventures getting tattoos and more! All this plus Patsy reimagining John Travolta as Rambo (which almost happened) on this week's episode!
