Show Notes: Next to Mickey Mouse, the saucy but sweet fairy, Tinker Bell, is considered one of the Disney Company’s most famous icons. Tinker Bell first became a part of the Disney Family with the release of the Walt Disney’s animated film “Peter Pan” on February 5th, 1953. Since then, Tinker Bell has appeared in the 2002 Peter Pan sequel, “Return to Neverland,” received her own fairy franchise that includes many Tinker Bell films, and has been added as a meet-and-greet character in the Disney Parks around the world. But how did Tinker Bell come to be? What *is* her backstory? With the release of Mindy Johnson’s new book, “TINKER BELL: AN EVOLUTION,” fans of the character can read about Tinker Bell’s transition and transformation in J.M.
