4月27日のゲストは、東京ミッドタウン「サントリー美術館」で開催中「ガレも愛したー清朝皇帝のガラス」展を企画した、学芸副部長の土田ルリ子さんです。 ガラスというと儚くて薄い透明なものというイメージですが、この展覧会で出会う中国のガラスは全く別のもの。長い歴史の中で飛躍的にガラス工芸が発展したという清朝皇帝の時代には、色彩に富んだ重厚なガラスの作品が多数作られています。ガラスを掘り出すという繊細な細工にはため息が出るほど。またその影響を受けているというフランスの芸術家エミール・ガレ。清朝皇帝のガラスとガレの作品を一緒に楽しめるという贅沢な展覧会です。(7月1日まで開催中)
