TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. The human person, the family and the church are the most basic units of the presence of the kingdom of God. The place of the family in the making more present to the world the kingdom of God is imperative. This kingdom of God in the family context is built on the dual principles of love and respect; the husband must love the wife as Jesus Christ loves the church and the wife must be submissive to the husband as the church is to Jesus Christ.
