Intro Re-orient to the context Observations - if you sin unintentionally, then here’s what you do… - you have not observed unintentionally, you have not obeyed fully. - atonement shall be made for the whole congregation, “covered by the blood” - provision made both corporately and individually Application - unintentional, unknown sin is different than blatant, defiant sin. We all have sins that we are unaware of. We would be lying to day that we do not sin every day. Sin is any thought, word or deed that breaks God’s heart. Subtly, deception and sin creeps into our heart resulting in sin. Pride is a constant battle and the root of all sin is it not? We cannot be good enough. And that is why the Good News is good news. - The Believer cries out for the Lord’s redemption and longs for the day when temptations and battle with sin will be swallowed up in complete victory in eternity. Until then, he or she lives a life of repentance, confessing and forsaking known sin as the Spirit convicts and transforms us to be more and more like Christ. And through the ongoing change, the Lord gets glory and a witness. Prayer: pray the passage and how the Holy Spirit has convicted you back to the Lord. Ask Him to do in You what His Word teaches.
