from Good Morning Aurora
It was history, history and more history today on the show. We were honored to be joined by a great friend of the show and Aurora favorite, Mr. Eric Pry! Eric is the curator of the G.A.R. (Grand Army of The Republic) Museum located at 23 E. Downer Place and has a knack & love for history. When last we spoke we were eating on the patio at Mora On The River (shouts!) and today we were immersed in knowledge. For many Aurorans, the G.A.R. is “that place that looks like a church”. But oh is it much more than a church! In its walls are generations of Aurora history and the information and memories to match. The pandemic has ceased its activities but this place has provided enjoyment and enlightenment to countless Aurora citizens. Eric is a dedicated man with a passion for Aurora and for highlighting the Aurora military experience. Stay tuned for all the museum has coming in the future, we surely will be as well! Shouts go out to all City of Aurora staff and also the veterans and veteran family members of Aurora. Huge shouts to the winners of our YouTube contest, Rachel, Shyanne & Susie! Winners for sure and great people who are supporters of the show and we really appreciate it. Please like and follow the Aurora Business United Facebook page, a great entrepreneur and business networking group for all Aurorans. Tredwell, All Spoked Up, Wyckwood House, Cotton Seed and all the businesses in Aurora also get a shout out for their continued hard work and success. Aurora is a great city and we’re proud to showcase who’s who in this city and what’s cooking! All the news you can stand, Monday thru Friday from 8 to 9 am. Tune in tomorrow for another great episode!
