Before David sat on the throne as king in Jerusalem, he was a hunted man. Saul saw David as a threat to his throne and hunted him for many years. Yet, David knew that God would set Him on the throne according to His Word. And when God finally established David on the throne, David remembered the Word of the Lord and gave Him praise.
