My computer is updating itself. Luckily, I don't need the computer to record the podcast. So let's get started on the podcast How you doing? It's Tuesday.
What are we gonna talk about today? Something to be grateful for right then because this is the daily grateful and I am Michael Gross and I am grateful for all of the experiences that I've had in my life all of the good ones all of the bad ones Yeah, I'm like me. Oh, there are some bad experiences that I went through and Parts of them have made me very grateful. There's a lot of good experiences that I had giving birth to my youngest son That was a lot of fun.
Oh wait a minute. I didn't do that But I take credit for it if you ask anybody that you know, I I'm the one who did it. I truly am but And he's awesome. He's now 28 years old.
What am I doing with a 28 year old is my youngest? How the hell did that happen? I remember about a year after he was born I'm doing a radio show and I get a call on the radio So I'm on stations all over the country and I get a call from South Dakota. Yep.
I was on a South Dakota Why I have no idea, you know what gardening was done in South Dakota? I know you get a lot of calls, but anyway, and we talked about anyway I got a call from South Dakota from this guy He was somebody that I knew when I lived in Michigan in the early 60s and he didn't know me that well He knew my brother. Well, he was my brother's friend and he goes, well, how's your brother doing? I said, well, he's doing great, you know, and he's in the time he was in the Navy And I think he was living was he living in Italy or he'd just moved back from Italy.
I don't know anyway We're talking about that. He goes, well, how are you doing? I said well, I'm sitting my happy ass down here in Florida I said I got married and all of a sudden I got five kids and he goes what I said I'm married and I got five kids. How that happened?
It just did. I'm married I got five kids and we all live in this four bedroom house and you know not you know Not all the kids lived with us, but three of the kids lived with us the other two the two oldest lived with their mommy But there are three of them lived there and that was my life man We would go and do all these family things. I was into this like you would not believe I told him I said next week We're going to Disney World and you know, which was always a fun thing for us to do You know, let's go to Disney World and that's what we would do We would run off and go to Disney World or we would go someplace else We would go to a park. We would go canoeing.
We did all we would go to Daytona Beach We would just do all these things and we were always doing things as a family. It was I was happy It was it was pretty cool. I'm grateful for all of that not grateful for how it ended You know it because it while I was happy and there was a lot of really good things that happened as far as me being Dad and family me being husband I was good husband. I'm just gonna say it not gonna not consider and stop anybody down But there was that was a very disappointing part of my life It's very very very disappointing part of my life and in 2007 when that marriage ended I bought this house that I'm living in right now heading on to 18 years here and my son's act was 12 And he moved in with me.
There was never a question about that by the way He came here with me. We kind of built a life and we built a life editing videos together at night Just doing a bunch of stuff and hanging out and doing just doing all the stuff that we did And I'm really grateful for that part of my life as well. Did I miss having the family concept altogether? Yeah, I missed it a lot But did I love the life I built here with Zach and all of his friends that would come over here to the house and hang out?
And they would make videos out in the backyard and just craziness Yeah, I really liked that a lot and I'm very very grateful for that So I think what I'm trying to say here is I'm not sure what I'm trying to say here But I'm trying to say here is that no matter what happens in your life There's always things to be grateful for and I'm grateful for the fact that I have five kids Guess what I got now? I got five grandkids. How did that even happen? I got five kids.
I got five grandkids Whoa, look at that if that guy should call me again from Michigan or from the Dakotas He moved back to Michigan after that, but if he should call he'd be surprised to know that five kids I have five grandkids kind of exciting so sometimes life really sucks It really does I ended that last marriage or that I didn't know when that last marriage ended that sucked But it opened up a new door and that was a new door for me and Zach to have it, you know a cool life together And I really enjoyed that and I'm really grateful for that Let's just keep things going now. I'm at the point of my life where I'm done Doing a lot of sacrificing right now. I'm spending a lot of time working on things that I want to do Got a podcast podcast you know guess what I'm getting ready to do get ready to take this podcast studio park I've got who couldn't come in and moving it back into the old room where the podcast used to be or the radio show was done from I'm gonna do that plus I volunteer at the Tampa Bay Technology Center and I'll be working on their podcast studio I like doing stuff like this so have a great day I don't know what we're gonna talk about tomorrow, but we'll get around to it.
