Tuesday of the 14th Week of Ordinary Time

Today's readings explore the difference between false sources of power and the one true God who actually acts in the world. The first reading confronts a people who have placed their trust in idols of their own making, deaf and blind things that cannot save. Then we hear of a God who speaks, heals, and sees a scattered people with compassion — and calls for workers to join in that living work.
