Tuesday Takeover: Reneiloe Semenya

Reneiloe Semenya is the woman behind Maysene Logistics, an innovative force in the transportation industry. She is taking bold strides towards empowering women in the traditionally male-dominated world of trucking. Maysene Logistics has been disrupting the status quo by hiring and supporting women to drive 33-tonne dry-bulk tankers. The trucking industry has long been recognised as a challenging and predominantly male sector. However, Maysene Logistics, under the leadership of founder Semenya, is breaking these barriers and creating opportunities for women. The company is providing training and employment opportunities for women drivers and proving that gender should never be a limiting factor in empowering women. The trucking industry in South Africa has recently faced a wave of arson attacks, causing damage and disrupting operations. Maysene Logistics has worked hard to ensure safety and security of its drivers amidst these unfortunate events. The company's commitment to safeguarding its team and assets proves its dedication to maintaining a secure and reliable service. As we’re about to wrap up transport month, let’s find out more about how Reneiloe is breaking barriers in the trucking industry and the vital role they play in shaping a more inclusive business landscape.
