Tulips, Serial Killers & the Vampire of Düsseldorf | Profiling Evil in Europe

I’m in Europe for the next three weeks, mixing a little vacation time with some true crime. I’m recording parts of this episode in Amsterdam and Cologne, near the place where Peter Kürten was raised, and I’ll also spend two days in Düsseldorf walking the crime scenes tied to one of Germany’s most infamous killers. I’ll start in Amsterdam, a city with more than enough crime, vice and history for a full episode, but after recent King’s Day violence, including a reported shooting in Amsterdam-West and a stabbing near the Kingsland festival at Olympic Stadium, I wanted to step away from the darkness for a moment and find some balance.
