Tupac Trial Finally Begins in Vegas | Las Vegas News

The long-awaited trial for Tupac Shakur’s 1996 murder is finally underway in Las Vegas, centering on Duane Davis, aka Keffe D, accused of masterminding the fatal shooting from a white Cadillac — not pulling the trigger himself. Charged with murder with a deadly weapon, Davis faces life in prison if convicted, nearly 30 years after the crime. Prosecutors argue his memoir reignited the case, while defense claims it’s fictionalized for profit. With dozens of witnesses expected and Tupac’s family and fans in attendance, this historic courtroom showdown could finally bring closure to one of hip-hop’s most enduring mysteries.
