Turbo Sonidero

from There Radio · host Tony Morales

Today on the show we have Roman Zepeda known by his artist name Turbo Sonidero. He is a East San Jose producer creating a new wave of cumbia along with his collective Kumbia Net. I heard about Turbo Sonidero from his project Lowrider Kumbias, which are cumbias that include oldie samples. We spoke with Roman about how he found music as an escape, being inspired by DJ Shadow, patience, and bridging generations with cumbia. You can follow Turbo Sonidero on Instagram @turbosonidero.
