Turkey: Interview with Kivanc Eliacik

According to the International Trade Union Confederation, Turkey is one of the worst countries in the world for workers' rights.  Union leaders continue to be arrested and jailed.  But recently, a number have been released, thanks in part to global online campaigns on LabourStart.In our short interview, Kivanc explained who was arrested and why, who has been released and who's still in jail, and the crucial role of LabourStart campaigns in getting our comrades released.  He put the issue in the context of a global onslaught on union rights, naming jailed union leaders around the world.Support the show
