Turning Aside vs. Taking Aside | February 12, 2025

This sermon explores the importance of "turning aside" to recognize and respond to God's presence, drawing from Exodus 3:1-6, where Moses' decision to investigate the burning bush leads to a divine encounter. Other biblical examples, such as Zacchaeus in Luke 19, highlight how turning aside can lead to life-changing moments with Jesus. The message differentiates between turning aside in response to God and being taken aside for correction (Matthew 16:22). Practical steps include recognizing divine moments, evaluating their significance (Psalm 118:23), and responding wholeheartedly (Judges 13:19-20). Testifying about these encounters (Psalm 9:1) strengthens faith and encourages others. The call is to remain attentive to God's movement, ensuring we don’t miss His presence amid daily distractions.
