Turning Your Intentions Into Reality (4 Simple Steps) - #65

from YIELD Today With Dallin Candland · host Dallin

Way too often we just settle with having these amazing feelings or thoughts to create and then not doing anything with them. Here's my 4-step framework to turn your intentions into reality. I hope that it is helpful for you in some way :)1. Initial Excitement - You have a great idea and feeling to do something, but that's about it. Maybe you just watched an inspirational video or something of that nature. It sounds great. You feel what it is like to have that, and it feels great. Lately I've realized that I mistake these feelings for the real thing. Then I fall short.Catch it early.2. Capturing it on Paper- Write it down in journal or share it with someone else. This gives it more life and makes it more likely that it will happen. If you are able to put your thought or idea into another form that will greatly help you get more focused on it.3. Following Up - Talk with an accountability partner or look back at your journal. Chances are you are able to be accountable with yourself but sometimes you struggle with it.You have already sold yourself on this idea. Why not get more help to make it happen?Maybe you've done door to door sales before. You can be very excited about the product but that alone isn't going to get the customer to take action. Having a plan and helping them take action and follow through will go a long way. Sometimes you do need to keep following up, try new things, and rinse and repeat. It sounds boring but I've learned tons from just following up with myself on my goals! It reminds me what I'm working towards, and helps me forget the things that are not as important.4. Reaching It - Following Up Leads to it (or obviously you may need to just adjust your goal, it's up to your discretion). Eventually with follow-up you'll reach your goal. Be sure to celebrate when you've made it and set a new intention and a new goal :)PS: Apologies that this isn't closer to six minutes long (like the other mini episodes are). I'm still experimenting with this episode format. I think 8 minutes is a bit long for this kind of format and 6 is right on the money. Feel free to let me know what you think! Thanks as always for listening. :)Resources Mentioned:Where Will This Lead?
