Turtle - Heathland Haze - RE:WARM 009 - HOME Compilation

from Warm Radio Show · host Warm

With his first material in four years, Turtle's delicate, sparse, wondrous 'Heathland Haze' was specially recorded for the upcoming compilation 'Home - Volume One curated by Ali Tillett'.  Residing in deepest Scotland, Jon Cooper aka Turtle is an enigma. Some years ago both Ali and Jon were in contact but over the years had lost touch. One of the first artist names that sprung to mind at the start of working on the HOME compilation was Jon's. The music he makes paints a picture of a soundscape like no other. Once back in touch it was only a matter of time til' Jon had produced something that he thought would be the sound of the Heathland/Moorland habitat. 'Home - Volume One curated by Ali Tillett' is set for release on 3rd December; with Turtle joined by contributions from Âme, Bobby Lee & Mia Doi Todd, Coyote, Crack’d Man, Kirk Degiorgio presents As One, Fug, and Ewan Pearson's World of Apples project. The compilation's tracks align with specific habitats in the local Dorset area where Ali is situated, such as Harbour/Estuary, Heathland/Moorland, Woodland/Forest, and Beach/Cliffs. To immerse the listener even further into the soundscape, critically acclaimed sound and field recording artist Gary Moore, of Springwatch/Autumnwatch fame, has been involved to help bring nature even further to the ears. Turtle "Heathland Haze" is out on November 17th digitally. HOME Compilation on RE:WARM is out on Friday December 3rd Pre-save/order full album: https://lnk.to/homevol1 Buy/Stream link for digi single: https://lnk.to/Turtle-HH
