In which our expedition encounters a hostile band of Papuan islanders whose efforts to board the Nautilus are deftly repelled by Captain Nemo’s ingenious use of electric defence, all whilst the crew endures the tense watch by the coral shores. As the tide rises, the Nautilus gracefully frees itself from the coral bed and sets forth anew, leaving behind the enigmatic island and its wary inhabitants.
